Dr. Paul Bergold and Prof. Illia Serdiuk Awarded NCN Grants
On June 11, 2026, the Polish National Science Centre (NCN) announced the results of two additional grant competitions: OPUS 30+LAP/Weave and SONATA 21. We are proud to announce that among the 16 successful researchers from the University of Gdańsk, two are members of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics!
The winner of the OPUS competition is Dr. Hab. Illia Serdiuk, Professor at the University of Gdańsk.

The winner of the SONATA competition is Dr. Paul Ferdinand Bergold.

“A Mathematical Approach to High-Dimensional Quantum–Classical Simulations”
