At the beginning of July, the second edition of the Physics of Quantum Chips (PQChips) Summer School took place, focusing on the physical principles underlying quantum devices and the state-of-the-art technologies used in the development of quantum processors. The program combined theoretical lectures with hands-on practical sessions and poster presentations.

As part of the 6th edition of the “Visiting Professors of the University of Gdańsk” program, fifteen researchers have been invited to the University of Gdańsk.

Two of them will visit the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics.

We are proud to announce that Dr. Denis Dobkowski-Ryłko - a member of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics of the University of Gdańsk, and Deputy Director of the Institute of Theoretical Physics and Astrophysics - is on the list of the Junior Simons Fellows among the scientists involved in the Simons Programme on Twistor Theory and its Applications.

Between November 2^nd and 18^th, 2025, Dr. Eng. Magda Dettlaff and Dr. Hanna Furmańczyk from the Institute of Informatics at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Infomatics of the University of Gdańsk visited Stellenbosch University (RPA) as part of the COVER project.

On April 7-11, 2025, Dr. Eng. Magda Dettlaff, Dr. Hanna Furmańczyk and Dr. Hab. Paweł Żyliński, prof. UG from the Department of Combinatorial Optimization (Institute of Informatics) of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics of the University of Gdańsk participated in the COVER project workshops at the Gebze Technical University in Turkey.
